How to get the most out of this site
Preaching Tool
- The primary preaching tool consists of 5 key questions to ask yourself about your own communication.
- These can be worked through sequentially for a comprehensive review of your sermon, and we would recommend this method the first few times you use it.
- This tool is designed for preaching but could be used for any communication or messaging from your church or faith-based organisation.
- Once you are more familiar with the tool, you may wish to go directly to particular questions you are wanting to consider in relation to a particular message. That said, part of the point of tool is to remind you of blind spots you may have, and so you can continue to use the whole tool.
- Within the tool, you will find links to videos and resources relevant to that section to dig deeper and enhance your learning / thinking.
Videos
- The toolkit includes a range of shorter (3-6 mins) and longer videos (10-25 mins) that expand on specific topics, scripture passages and issues related to DFV and DA.
- You can search these videos using key words, scripture references and they are also linked to the Preaching tool.
Resources
- There are links to a range of further resources that you may wish to consider throughout the toolkit.
- You can also access these resources on the National and State Resources page or by the search function.
- Some are further reading on topics, and some are State or Territory specific links to services.
- These are not all endorsed by the project, but will take you to external sites and sources of information.
- If you are aware of resources that we can add to the site, please contact us via the details on the Contact page
Training
- The tool kit also contains training modules specifically for Pastors and Churches around DFV and DA.
- There are six foundational modules and additional shorter modules you can choose to undertake.
- To access these additional training videos, you will need to register and be provided with a log in.
- Once you are registered, you will also be notified of live training session and topics of interest, should you select this option, where you can ask questions and get involved.
